Originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, I have been privileged to live in Alaska more than thirty years and truly love the beauty and all Alaska has to offer.
As a youngster I always loved art and was mesmerized by the great masters of the Renaissance era but didn't paint until the early 1970's followed by a thirty year hiatus from painting due to "life" and its priorities.
Now, as a retiree, I have time to pursue this love again.  Painting has increased my awe and appreciation of creation, "Mother Nature", and its intricacies.

I have lived in Alaska since 1959 and have traveled all over the state as a surveyor in construction and land surveying.  I've worked construction or tech work with computers in civil engineering in my profession and any spare time was spent creating art.
I graduated from North Dakota State University and the University of Alaska.  Two of my oil paintings are in the permanent collection at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.  Other paintings have sold to people from many countries as well as to local collectors.
I reside in Homer, Alaska and spend time each year in rural Costa Rica.  My current work is in watercolor, a medium where I can get a far range of colors and hues.  I like loose wet look with inherent drips and splashes.
